To present voluntarily without expecting something in return.
I am an AmeriCorps worker for SAFE Haven of Racine Inc. We service youth ages 10-17 yrs old. We provide food, clothing and shelter to youth for up to 2 weeks. In that time we flood the family with resources and referrals with an ultimate goal of family reunification, when in the best interest of the youth.
A firm belief that gives one the courage to stand behind that belief, despite pressure to do otherwise.
I serve my community through many different Volunteer opportunities in my community, but helping children succeed is one of the best. I love the Read, Graduate, Succeed program and the lives that it touches through the tutoring services it provides. Tutors and Students alike have life changing experiences when they are involved with this program.
The act of devoting all of one’s energy, effort, and abilities to a certain task.
I currently serve as a Highland Street AmeriCorps Ambassador of Mentoring, where I work as the Community Outreach Associate at Mass Mentoring Partnership, a statewide organization dedicated to expanding empowering youth-adult relationships in Massachusetts. #AmeriCorpsWorks
